Tamarindo Beach Weekend (VIDEO)

This is for Costa Rica days 20, 21, and 22.
We left for Tamarindo Beach in Guanacaste, Costa Rica after my 8am spanish class. The trip was 6 hours and most of it was spent sleeping and preparing for the weekend. After we arrived, me and some friends adventured to the beach at night. It was so peaceful and beautiful. The tide was so receeded that people were searching for shells. Me and a few friends ran into the water. Not deep but just enough to feel the water. Afterward we just walked around the small town. I prepared myself for the next day.

That saturday we went to spend our day on the beach. I even signed up to take surfing lessons! OMG... I was so nervous but I was happy that I was doing it. The waves were really big! There was a big difference between practicing on the sand and then with the actual water which shows no mercy. I was surfing for a few hours and then I went back to the water after I was done. It was amazing seeing how far the water comes up by the middle of the day. There was barely any sitting room. I went to the hotel room for a minute to hang out at the pool and then followed Rebe back to the beach to watch the sunset. It took forever but I got some GOREGOUS pics.

Then we went to dinner and all thirty-something of us ate together. That night we went to a nigthtclub "Aqua". We had a balcony view of the entire town. I enjoyed dancing and for once hearing english music I recognized.

After I returned to the hotel I prepared for the next morning where I would be going horseback riding. I was very excited but instantly became nervous when I saw the horses. The heat was also intense in the morning that I was concerned about passing out. One of the guys waved for me  to come toward one of the horses and then told me to hop on. I looked at him like “You better help me” then I was assisted onto the horse. I was suprised that there were no instructions or tutorial on how to manuver with this horse but obiviously the horses knew what to do because they just started going. Eventually, I got the hang of riding but the saddle still hurt.

It is now the day after and my body HURTS! I have never been so sore….geez…..and then this weekend coming up we are going to NICARAGUA! I just can’t get a break. I feel like we are constantly on the go. Oh well….Its the last week of spanish class and I’m ready to knock it out.
