Javonni McGlaurin, MA is a youth development practitioner and the Founder of The Natural Travelista. Originally from Saint Louis, Missouri, Javonni holds a bachelor's degree in international studies from Hampton University and a master’s degree in international education from SIT Graduate Institute. In 2014, Javonni joined the U.S. Peace Corps to serve as a youth development volunteer in the Philippines. During this time Javonni worked with at-risk children, youth, and families. She created a college retention program for more than 100 low-income college students and managed a $5000 grant to increase livelihood of indigenous women in her community through a nine-day sewing training. 

In addition to her work, Javonni launched HBCUs Abroad aimed to create a network of global citizens at Historically Black Colleges and Universities. This initiative shares the study abroad stories of other to motivate others to travel abroad.  Prior to her time in the Philippines, Javonni served on the executive board of the International Youth Council as the Director of Global Chapters. Her strong understanding of world affairs and youth policy provided her the opportunity to speak and inspire young people from around the world at the 7th annual Youth Assembly at the United Nations. Javonni is a passionate leader dedicated to making a difference through mutual understanding and peace.
