Product Review: The Softest Hair I've Ever Had

Before I put in my own Marley Twists, I washed my hair and used some new products that I received from the 2014 INHMD-STL.

I just wanted to cleanse my hair before I had my coils twisted up for weeks and to my surprise I almost didn't install the twist because my hair was soft like cotton. I figured I would share with you the three products that helped me achieve the SOFTEST hair I have ever had.

Unfortunately, I do not have photos from my hair at that time but I duplicated the style minus the same softness. (Shown Below)

Shampoo:

Earthtones Naturals Curl Cleanse Moisturizing & Conditioning Shampoo

Aloe Vera Juice & Glycerin are in the first 5 indgredients. This

sulfate-free shampoo has been in my regimen since 2013 and they never let me down. This is a gentle shampoo that does lather and smells like cake! Mmmm.

Leave-In Conditioner:

Alikay Naturals Lemongrass Leave In Conditioner

I sprayed this product on damp towel dried hair. The smell is sweet but not too strong. Because it is a liquid leave-in I didn't feel like it was overbearing or heavy on my hair. I may even use this as a daily moisturizer.

Sealant:

Fanzy Flamin Fro Lavender Hair Pudding

Lastly I sealed in the leave-in with a hair pudding. A sample size is shown and for heavy handed women (like myself) it looks as if you could use the entire sample and still need more but I really only used a pea size amount. I have multiple scents but the one shown is the lavender scented and it complements the lemon-grass fragrance nicely.

Honorable Mention:

Tresemme Naturals

I used the Tresemme Naturals as my rinse out conditioner. Its not shown because this is a staple in my hair regimen so I don't think it made a difference in my super soft results.

The ULTIMATE Question......

Will I purchase these products again?

The answer is.....it depends.

It all comes down to 2 factors:

1. How convenient it is to purchase. Since I will be going overseas for an extended period of time. These products have to be easy to access for friends and family that will be sending them to me in a care package.

Tresemme Naturals and Alikay Naturals are both sold in Target which is easy to find.

The EarthTone Naturals and Fanzy Flamin Fro Pudding were both purchased at Natural Hair events by small business owners which may take a little more time and energy for my family.

2. The necessity of the products. As of right now I do not know what part of the Philippines I will be placed in meaning I do not know what type of amenities I will have access to or the weather pattern. What does this mean for my hair? Well if I do not have access to running water then I may not be washing my hair every week with the EarthTones Naturals. Cowashes will be become more frequent than anything else. If I will be living with humidity 24/7 then a thick pudding may become overkill for my hair and too heavy for my hair.

How did you achieve your softest hair ever?
